Silver Medal of Bravery

On 28 June 2019, Neal KUSHWAHA was awarded the Silver Medal of Bravery by the Royal Canadian Humane Association (RCHA, under the royal patronage of Her Majesty The Queen) for saving a life on Mount Everest.

The RCHA is an organisation that has relations with the rest of the Commonwealth. The Royal Humane Society, parent to the RCHA, was founded in 1774 in London England. Each nation under the Commonwealth have their respective association or society. In 1894, the then Governor General of Canada, the Earl of Aberdeen, was granted permission by Her Majesty Queen Victoria, to use the prefix “Royal” to the RCHA. The RCHA maintains the Governor General of Canada as it’s honourary president, with the Lt. Governors as patrons of the association.

The RCHA aim: “To recognise such deeds of heroism, by Canadians in civilian life, who, through their alertness, skill and concern, save or attempt to save a life, especially where those actions lie outside the ordinary duties of the person involved”.

Neal KUSHWAHA is very respectfully sharing the Silver Medal of Bravery and the certificate. Unfortunately, Neal was unable to attend the ceremony in person.
